About US History

In Modern US History, students learn how our country grew into the world superpower that it is today.  The discussion starts in 1900, which allows us to move slowly through the 20th century and learn in detail about the people and events that have had an influence on our nation.  Most schools start in the 1770s and try to cover a lot of material in a short period of time.  Starting in 1900 leaves BMHS students with a much more vivid picture of our country's recent past than most students get.
